On National Cinema Day, ticket sales for Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan skyrocketed, reviving the movie’s box office success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a few days of steady revenues of Rs 70 to Rs 80 lakh, Jawan had a remarkable surge, making Rs 5 crore on National Cinema Day. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that the movie’s domestic net receipts came in at Rs 632.24 crore. The Atlee-directed movie had a 61.53 percent Hindi occupancy rate as of October 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After five weeks of release in theatres, the movie had a spike in box office revenue on October 13, when several multiplexes dropped their ticket rates to Rs\u00a099 in honour of National Cinema Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
