After heavy rain in Delhi on Monday night and early Tuesday morning, the national capital recorded a minimum of 17.2\u00b0C. The heavy rainfall coupled with strong winds also improved the air quality to moderate category, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday, the air quality index (AQI) in the national capital stood at 126 as of 9 am. Meanwhile, the air quality index (AQI) on Monday was 207. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) classifies an air quality index (AQI) between 0-50 as good, between 51-100 as satisfactory, between 101-200 as moderate, between 201-300 as poor, between 301-400 as very poor and more than 400 as severe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports said that as of 8:30am on Tuesday, Safdarjung registered 5.4mm of rain while Palam recorded 3.8mm, Lodhi Road recorded 4.8 mm, Ridge recorded 9.6mm and Ayanagar recorded 5mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The weather department officials stated that there is a chance of light rain with thundershowers in several parts of the national Capital on Tuesday. This aforesaid phenomenon might further reduce the temperature in Delhi and its adjoining areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nonetheless, the officials added that the temperature is forecasted to increase throughout the rest of the week with mostly clear skies. Reportedly, the maximum and minimum humidity oscillated between 86% and 59%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the air quality index is predicted to deteriorate into poor quality in the subsequent few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An official at the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi underlined that the predominant surface wind is expected to be coming from Southeast directions in Delhi with wind speed 06-12 kmph. The official further added that generally cloudy sky and light rain or thundershowers might occur on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
