The Aam Aadmi Party-led government in Punjab headed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is going to unveil a big action plan which aims at eradicating the drug menace in Punjab. The AAP government is strongly committed to creating a drug free Punjab by August 15, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The state government has entrusted the Amritsar police with an important initiative called the hope initiative. The urgency of the situation can be understood by the fact that a deadline of 15 August 2024 has been set to transform Punjab into a drug free state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this initiative the Punjab police will launch a unique approach where gully cricket competitions will be held to inspire and dissuade the youngsters from falling prey to drug addiction. These cricket matches are scheduled to take place from October 15 to November 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order to attain the goal of a drug free Punjab. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann emphasized the significance of this initiatve. Amritasr Police commissioner Naunihal Singh hailed the Punjab government\u2019s decision. He said this an important step towards reaching this critical goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in order to fight the drug network in Punjab and crackdown on drug peddalers the Amritsar police has launched the Hope Initiative. This endeavour aims to involve civil society members and administrative bodies for tackling drug abuse effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hope initiative consists of three fundamental heritage values education symbolized by Khalsa college, sacrifice represented by Jallianwala bagh and piety represented by the golden temple. These values form the core of this initiative Play ,Pledge and Pray . This forms the core of battle against drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this initiative the police will take the youngsters to the golden temple to pray to seek the eradication of drugs from Punjab. Visits to the Jallianwala bagh is going to inspire them through the legacy of Sardar Udham Singh. The pledge component gets them to get inspired by the sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
