They also apply sindoor to each other, expressing sisterhood that brings happiness and joy in life.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Devi Boron ceremony is an&nbsp;important&nbsp;ritual in bidding farewell to the goddess. Worshippers trace a betel leaf on their palms and tenderly brush it against the deity&#8217;s face.&nbsp;This gesture symbolises wiping away any tears from Maa Durga&#8217;s eyes as she prepares to leave her parental home and reunite with her husband. After applying sindoor on her forehead and adorning her bangles,&nbsp;sweets are offered as a final tribute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sindoor&nbsp;khela is a deeply rooted tradition with a historical significance that dates back to the&nbsp;18th century in West Bengal. It represents the strength, love, and unity among women and is performed during Durga Puja. During the ritual, married women apply red vermilion on their foreheads, which symbolises the blessing of a long and prosperous married life.
