Army chief&nbsp; General Manoj Pande accompanied Rajnath Singh and carried out&nbsp; a comprehensive review of India\u2019s military preparedness along the line of actual control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh. Singh lauded the troops of the Indian army for guarding the border with unwavering commitment and unparralled courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singh visited Bum La and number of other posts and also interacted with the soldiers. Singh said there is no other option but to strengthen the country\u2019s security apparatus in case of the current global scenario. Singh\u2019s celebration of Dussehra with the soldiers that is not very far off from the LAC comes at a time when both China and India have been engaged in a bitter standoff in certain friction points in Eastern Ladakh for over three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Paid tributes to Subedar Joginder Singh at his memorial in Bum La. The defence also visited the Tawang war memorial where he laid a wreath and offered tributes to the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the 1962 war with China. Chinese and Indian troops were engaged in a clash along the LAC at Yangtsein the Tawang sector on December 9 last year. Singh said no amount of appreciation is enough for the way the Indian army is guarding the border in difficult circumstances.
