The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will operate 40 additional train trips on weekdays across its network commencing from October 25. While making the announcement, the Delhi Metro stated that the decision is a part of several measures adopted by the Delhi government in an effort to combat pollution under the GRAP-II stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This development follows days after the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM)’s sub-committee formulated an 11-action plan as per Stage 2 of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). Reports stated, GRAP is a set of guidelines and measures that are implemented to combat pollution in the National Capital Region of India and Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation stated that as a part of the various measures that are being adopted by the Delhi government to combat pollution under GRAP-II stage, the Delhi Metro will run 40 additional trips from Monday to Friday across it network from 25.10.2023. It added that this has been planned to intensify the use of public transport among passengers across Delhi-NCR. The Metro Rail Corporation noted that usually more than 4300 trips are performed by Delhi Metro trains everyday.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
