Modi is the chief guest at the 11<sup>th<\/sup> grand Ramleela Society. He performed Ravan Dahan. The prime minister arrived at the venue at around 5:30pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Modi extended greetings on Vijaya Dashami, saying that this pious festival marks the end of negative forces and brings the message of embracing the good in life. Bhartiya Janata Party leader Parvesh Sahib Singh said that people have travelled from far off places to attend the Dussehra celebrations at the Ram Leela maidan. Singh said the he was grateful to PM Modi for accepting the invitation. Delhi police said security arrangements have been tightened on Dussehra. Fire crackers have been banned as the police team has seized more than 100 kg of firecrackers. According to another Hindu legend the day is celebrated to mark victory of Maa Durga over demon Mahishasur.
