Australia Captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first as it was a great surface to bat on in this tournament in Delhi. But the Australian players were seen wearing black band on their arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gesture of the Australilan players wearing black arm bands is an act of respect and support for Australian cricketer Fawad Ahmed and his family. Fawad Ahmed lost his four month old baby boy. Earlier this year\u00a0 Fawad welcomed his second child in June but the new born faced many health challenges and could not survive. He was admitted to a children\u2019s hospital but\u00a0 sadly passed away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire Australian team are wearing black arm bands to express their condolences and solidarity with Fawad\u2019s family during this difficult phase of life. Fawad Ahmed is an cousin of Pakistani leg spinner Yasir Shah. He played first class cricket in Pakistan before he migrated to Australia. He hoped no one ever goes through this pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming to today\u2019s match Australia lost Mitchel marsh early in the innings. David Warner continued his excellent form and struck a half century in just 40 balls. Steve Smith supported Warner who also hit a half century in 53 balls.
