Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel on Monday said the people of the state have always trusted the Congress party and will continue to do so. He expressed his confidence in the upcoming assembly elections. Speaking to the media Bhupesh Baghel said The Bhartiya Janata Party has not promised anything to the people of the Chhattisgarh. He said the BJP knows the people of Chhattisgarh are not going to trust their guarantees. He said the people have always put faith in the Congress party led by Bhupesh Baghel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baghel filed his nomination papers on Monday. The Congress party aims to continue its stronghold in the region after winning the 2018 election in 11 of 12 assembly election seats. Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and BJP vice president Raman Singh criticized Baghel and said the Congress term is limited to just 40 more days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Singh said Priyanka Gandhi came to Chhattisgarh and made the announcement to provide cylinders for Rs 500. Singh said the Congress government knows that it will be thrown out of power as result of which is making such statements. He said such announcements have no significance now. Singh hit out at the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister on charges of corruption in the state where the whole state is involved happens only in Chattisgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bhartiya Janata President JP Nadda compared the Chhattisgarh government to an eclipse and pledged to remove it. Nadda accused the Baghel government of deeply being immersed in corruption and deceiving the trust of the people. The upcoming assembly elections are scheduled to take place in Chhattisgarh on November 7 and 17. The counting of the votes is going to take place on December 3. In the 2018 assembly election the Congress party won 68 out of 90 seats and defeated the Bhartiya Janata Party.
