Assembly elections in Telangana will see the two left parties CPM and CPI to go in different directions. The CPI will ally with Congress and CPM has decided to go in alone. Seat sharing between CPM and the Congress party fell apart less than a week after party chief Sitaram Yechury said he is hopefull that a pre poll pact will be sealed between the two parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CPI has accepted the Congress offer of one assembly seat Kothagudem in Bhadradri Kothagudem district where CPI state secretary K Sambasiva Rao will contest. CPI has also contested MLC seats from Congress as part of the seat sharing pact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to people insiders of CPM said the party is keen to contest seats in Telangana\u2019s tribal belt Khammam. Congress is unwilling to concede any of the four seats CPM had asked for Wyra, Miryalguda, Bhadrachalam and Palair. The CPM has released a list of 14 candidates who will contest the polls independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports the difference in Congress handling of two left constituents to CPM\u2019s traditional opposition to the Telangana statehood movement. This difference in positioning makes some vary of aligning with CPM. Meanwhile CPI has supported the formation of Telangana which makes it a natural ally to the Congress party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the election commission the Telangana assembly elections will be held on November 30. The counting of the votes is going to take place on December 3. Vemulawada is an assembly constituency in Telangana that comes under Rajanna Sircilla district of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2018, Ramesh Chennamaneni of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi won the seat by winning against Sriniwas Aadi of the Congress party by margin of 28186 votes. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Bandi Sanjay Kumar won from Karimnagar Lok Sabha (MP) seat by margin of 89508 votes.
