The Prime Minister took to X, formerly Twitter and said that he is spending Diwali with brave security forces in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh. He mentioned that it is an experience filled with deep emotion and pride.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While addressing the soldiers, Narendra Modi said that there has not been a single Diwali in the last 30-35 years, that he has not celebrated with the Army jawans. He recalled that when he was neither the PM nor the CM, he still used to go to the border on the occasion of Diwali. He added that India is safe so long as its brave soldiers are standing on its borders, unflinching as the Himalayas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the Prime Minister also lauded the security forces for their contribution to nation-building, enhancing the country&#8217;s global prestige. He underlined that in recent years, more than 500 women officers were given permanent commission in the Army. Narendra Modi mentioned that between Diwali in 2016 and now, India&#8217;s defence exports have risen eightfold and domestic defence production is now Rs 1 lakh crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that India is rapidly emerging as a global player in the defence sector.
