The Congress on Tuesday released its manifesto for the Rajasthan assembly election in Jaipur. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot were present at the event. Launching the manifesto, CM Ashok Gehlot said that he is appealing to the people to repeat the Congress government. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister added that the schemes and the laws made during his tenure and the guarantees given by the party have made a big impact. He stated that the guarantees mentioned in the manifesto will be implemented if they are voted to power in the northern state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reportedly, the Congress manifesto focuses on welfare schemes for women and marginalized sections. The manifesto pledged a new employment scheme for jobs at the panchayat level and cooking gas cylinders at Rs 400 to beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme. In addition, the party also promised Rs 2 lakh interest free loans to farmers and Minimum Support Price as per Swaminathan commission report. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the manifesto, the amount of Chiranjeevi Health Protection Insurance will be increased from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. The party also pledged to create 10 lakh job opportunities in 5 years, including 4 lakh jobs in government sectors. Additionally, the Congress has also pledged an annual honorarium of Rs 10,000 to the woman head of the family, law for old pension scheme for government employees, free laptops for students taking admission to government colleges, insurance cover up to Rs 15 lakh per family to compensate for losses due to natural calamity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the event, CM Ashok Gehlot said that Rajasthan’s economy will be Rs 15 crore by the year end and that they target to take it to Rs 30 lakh cr by 2023. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also stated that the state has always been a stronghold of the Congress and that they have promises that could be fulfilled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
