{"id":49505,"date":"2018-09-16T13:21:48","date_gmt":"2018-09-16T07:51:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/?p=49505"},"modified":"2018-09-16T13:33:24","modified_gmt":"2018-09-16T08:03:24","slug":"bjp-leader-predicts-indias-partition-2047","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/india-news\/bjp-leader-predicts-indias-partition-2047\/","title":{"rendered":"BJP leader predicts India\u2019s partition in 2047"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a major first, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union minister Giriraj Singh has \u00a0predicted that India may witness another partition in 2047 saying that the country was divided on the basis of religion in 1947 and the population has gone up from 33 crore to 135.7 crore in 72 years.<\/p>\n<p>In his tweet in Hindi language on Sunday, the BJP leader, without naming any community, said that \u201cthe population explosion of divisive forces is dreadful and it would become impossible to even mention about India in the times of come\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the ongoing controversy over Article 35A of the constitution, giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP leader said, \u201cThe country was divided in 1947 on the basis of religion. A similar situation will happen in 2047. In 72 years, the population has gone up from 33 crore to 135.7 crore. The population explosion of divisive forces is dreadful. At present there is uproar over discussion on 35A. Singh had also called for a debate from streets to Parliament over increasing population. He had also demanded a debate on \u201cdefinition of minorities\u201d. There should be a debate from sadak (road) to sansad (Parliament) on population control in the country. There should also be a debate on the definition of minorities. If a strong law is not made on population control then the country will suffer. We need to raise our voice,\u201d the BJP leader had said.<\/p>\n<p>In August, he had also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of eyeing Muslim vote bank.
