The Rajasthan Police on Monday arrested a woman who allegedly provided weapons and arranged accomodation for one of the shooters involved in the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The police said the woman, Pooja Saini and her husband, Mahendra Meghwal, provided weapons to one of the shooters, Nitin Fauji, who stayed in the couple\u2019s rented flat in Jaipur for nearly a week before carrying out the killing on December 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fauji took two pistols and as many magazines for himself, and one pistol and two magazines for Rathore. The police said Pooja also prepared food for Fauji. The official said Meghwal is a history sheeter who is also known as Sameer. He is currently absconding. According to reports three inmates of Bhondsi jail in Rajasthan have been associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. They were taken into custody by the Jaipur Police for questioning in connection with the Gogamedi murder case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police said the three had been in contact with Nitin Fauji, the main shooter in the killing of Karni Sena chief. Two of the inmates were also involved with Fauji in an attempted murder case. The two shooters Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, along with one of their associates, Udham Singh were arrested by a joint team of Delhi Police and Rajasthan Police in Chandigarh on Saturday night. They were produced before a local court and remanded to police custody for seven days by the magistrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gogamedi was shot on November 5 by unidentified people inside his house in Jaipur. Soon after the murder, gangster Rohit Godara, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder.
