The head of state for the Republic Day procession in 2024 will be Macron, the sixth leader of France. Jacques Chirac, the former prime minister of France, attended the occasion twice, in 1976 and 1998. In 1980, 2008, and 2016, respectively, former presidents Val\u00e9ry Giscard d’Estaing, Nicolas Sarkozy, and Fran\u00e7ois Hollande attended the festivities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
