Due to the cold wave in the area, all schools in Noida and Greater Noida will be closed for the students on December 29 and 30, according to sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the directive from Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar, all classes, ranging from nursery to 12, shall observe holidays on the specified dates. Given that December 31 falls on a Sunday, students will get three days off before the festivities of the new year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All school employees, including teachers, would have to report for duty on Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the dense fog and low temperatures, all recognised boards (CBSE, ICSE, and IB, among others), council schools, government schools, and non-government aided schools will observe holidays on December 29 and 30, per the directives issued by District Magistrate Maneesh Kumar Verma of Gautam Buddh Nagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“All the teachers and employees working in the said schools will continue to be on duty as usual,” said the officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, today in the morning, the temperature in certain areas of Delhi plummeted as low as 8.4 degrees Celsius, resulting in a heavy blanket of fog. According to Indian Railways, fog and poor visibility are causing at least 22 trains to run late. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 134 planes experienced delays as a result of heavy fog and poor visibility. The Delhi Airport Flight Information Display System (FIDS) reported that dense fog is causing delays affecting approximately 134 flights, both domestic and international arrivals and departures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
