In Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, a team from the Enforcement Directorate was attacked on Friday. North 24 Parganas district, where the team had gone to raid locations in relation to an alleged ration distribution scheme, was where the incident was reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attacks occurred when the team got closer to the home of Trinamool leader Shah Jahan Sheikh, who was eventually taken into custody in connection with the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The findings state that the Enforcement Directorate team was accompanied by around 200 locals who surrounded the officials and the central armed paramilitary elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They brought the injured officials to a nearby hospital. The government officials’ vehicles were also vandalised by the protesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
State BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar responded to the attack by saying it demonstrated the harm the Rohingya are causing to the state’s law and order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
