The ancestral plot of Dawood Ibrahim, which had been kept at a reserve price of Rs 15,440, was auctioned off for Rs 2 crore on Friday. Of the four ancestral properties put up for auction by the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Authority (SAFEMA), this was the smallest plot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aforementioned assets are agricultural plots located in Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar’s ancestral hamlet, Mumbke village, in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A other home sold for Rs 3.28 lakh, despite having a price tag of Rs 1.56 lakh. The four homes were kept at a price of Rs 19.2 lakh each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The homes are owned by Amina Bi, the mother of Dawood Ibrahim, according to a SAFEMA statement. SAFEMA seized these properties in connection with Dawood Ibrahim and his family members’ alleged smuggling and NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act offences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six of Dawood Ibrahim’s Mumbake village properties, including the house he grew up in, were put up for auction four years ago by SAFEMA. Ibrahim’s three opulent South Delhi houses, along with a hotel, were sold by the government in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally Dawood’s other properties were put up for auction in 2020 by SAFEMA, raising a total of Rs 22.79 lakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Aayakar Bhavan in south Mumbai was used as the venue for the auction. Ibrahim has been reported to be living in Pakistan. He is a wanted suspect in the 1993 Mumbai serial blast case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, he is the wanted criminal from the underworld allegedly faced another attempt on his life in Pakistan a few months ago, according to many media sources. After being poisoned, he was reportedly admitted to a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan.
