Goa Police said today that the four-year-old son of CEO Suchana Seth of Bengaluru appears to have been deliberately killed. The official said that empty bottles of cough syrup were discovered by the police in a room where the CEO is accused of killing her own child, raising the possibility that the boy received an excessive amount of medication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police, Suchana Seth killed her 4-year-old son\u00a0at an apartment in Candolim, North Goa, and put the body in a bag before driving the body to nearby Karnataka in a cab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seth was taken to Goa on Tuesday after being taken into custody from Chitradurga, Karnataka, on Monday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 6, Seth moved into the service flat. She stayed there till January 8 and then took a taxi to Bengaluru. Seth was subsequently remanded to six days of police prison by a Goa court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The senior official informed, although there were no signs of a struggle, the post mortem had been done and it’s possible the 4-Year-old was smothered to death. The post-mortem conducted on the body has indicated the possibility that the child might have been smothered to death and there were no signs of struggle, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are are examining the possibility if the woman gave a heavy dose of cough syrup to the child before putting him to death, added the official. Additionally, he mentioned that it was found that the woman had purportedly asked the staff of the service apartment to purchase a little bottle of cough syrup claiming to have a cough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the accused has denied any role in the crime and asserted that the child\u00a0was already dead when she woke up. The official responded to this by saying, they\u00a0don’t buy her theory. The motive behind the child’s death will become clearer with more research, the Goa Police said. They currently know that she was estranged from her husband, which may have contributed to her for doing this, they added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The body was later taken custody of by the child’s father, Venkat Raman, who was in Jakarta, Indonesia, following the postmortem examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
