The earthquake was felt in Lahore, Islamabad, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities in Pakistan. According to the US Geological Survey, the quake occurred at a depth of 206.6 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of now, there have been no reports of any casualties or damage to property. The earthquake, measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale, occurred at 2:20 pm (local time) in the Hindu Kush region, with a depth of 213 kms, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several cities were shaken by the earthquake, including Sargodha, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Bhakkar, and Nowshera. Reports suggest that tremors were also felt in Muzaffarabad, which is in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a report, due to the high intensity of the recent earthquake, there is a high likelihood of experiencing aftershocks in the region. Sardar Sarfaraz, the chief meteorologist at PMD, has stated that a similar situation occurred in Japan when the country was hit by a powerful earthquake on January 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s worth mentioning that Pakistan is situated in a seismic region and often experiences tremors and quakes of varying intensity.
