The head coach has confirmed that the star batsman will feature in the last two matches of the T20I series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement came after the Indian fans were hoping to see both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in India\u2019s T20 team after a one year gap for the home series against Afghanistan. Both the batsmen have not played T20 international since India\u2019s defeat to England in the semi-finals of the World Cup in Australia in November 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dravid announced in the press conference that Yashasvi Jaiswal is going to open the innings along with Rohit Sharma. The Indian coach added the Indian team will play only one series before T20 World Cup. Dravid said as of now the innings will be opened by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma. He said when there is squad that has flexibility then a decision can be taken in the best interest of the team. Dravid said he was happy with Jaiswal\u2019s performance as an opener. He said it also gives a left and right hand combination at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two pacers Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested to keep them fresh ahead of the five-test home test series against England, which is going to take place later this month.
