{"id":498521,"date":"2024-01-13T11:52:18","date_gmt":"2024-01-13T06:22:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/?p=498521"},"modified":"2024-01-13T12:02:07","modified_gmt":"2024-01-13T06:32:07","slug":"shashi-tharoor-ram-temple-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/politics\/shashi-tharoor-ram-temple-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Shashi Tharoor says timing of Pran Pratishtha ceremony appears to be designed to benefit political interests of BJP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has described the Ayodhya Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha as an event to get political mileage and if the Congress participates, it will become a political choice, and not just a personal one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi and the party\u2019s leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury have declined the invitation to the grand Ram temple opening on January 22 and called it a BJP-RSS event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tharoor said the Congress has many members who believe in many faiths and they are welcome to practice them. He said Hindus in the party have every right to offer prayers to Ram Lalla. Tharoor added Congress felt going for a political event-for an incomplete temple because the work is not over. Talking to the media Tharoor said he will go and visit the Ram Temple once the Lok Sabha Elections have concluded and the temple is fully constructed. He said he will visit Kashi Vishwanath as well.
