He played in both the Tests against South Africa. He picked up two wickets giving 130 runs. According to reports the pace bowler had picked up a quadriceps injury on day 1 of Karnataka Ranji Trophy clash against Gujarat in Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avesh Khan has been included in the test squad on the basis of his performance for India A during the South Africa tour. He had been included is the Test Team ahead of the match in Cape Town. Avesh Khan has been included along with Mukesh Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, vice captain Jasprit Bumrah to a familiar looking strong pace attack for India while the spin combination comprises of Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Dhruv Jurel is making his debut in the test team as a back-up wicketkeeper to KL Rahul.
