CM Shinde said said if Deora joins Sena, he will welcome him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have heard about his move. I had never thought that I would quit Congress. Today, I joined Shiv Sena, Deora added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deora, whose family had been associated with the Congress for over 55 years, thanked the party for their support over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a post on X, Deora said today marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in my political journey. I have tendered my resignation from the primary membership of the Congress, ending my family&#8217;s 55-year relationship with the party. I am grateful to all leaders, colleagues and Karyakartas for their unwavering support over the years, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier responding to a question about allegations circulating in certain media outlets that Deora was leaving the Congress to join the Shinde-led Shiv Sena, he said&nbsp;these were rumours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems that the Congress politician was not pleased with the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction\u2019s claim to run in the forthcoming general elections for the Mumbai South constituency, which Deora had represented before 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deora said in a video message released on Sunday that his party would also be able to declare candidates for seats if the alliance partner continued to make such claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier today, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut reacting to Milind Deora quitting Congress, said things like loyalty and ideology don&#8217;t exist now, it is all politics now.
