Both the leaders reportedly discussed regional and global issues including Russia\u2019s presidency of BRICS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking to social media platform X, PM Narendra Modi said that he had a good conversation with President Putin. He stated that they have discussed various positive developments in their Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership and further agreed to chalk out a roadmap for future initiatives. He added that they also had a useful exchange of views on various regional and global issues, including Russia\u2019s Presidency of the BRICS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Had a good conversation with President Putin. It added that both the leaders positively assessed the developments in bilateral relations and agreed to develop a roadmap for future initiatives to further strengthen the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement underlined that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. It added that Prime Minister Modi also conveyed his best wishes for Russia\u2019s Presidency of BRICS in 2024 and assured of India\u2019s full support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kremlin also issued a statement mentioning that the two leaders expressed interest in further intensifying mutually beneficial bilateral ties and touched upon the situation in Ukraine. Furthermore, Russia\u2019s media reported that Vladimir Putin and Narendra Modi expressed interest in further enhancing mutually beneficial bilateral ties and wished each other success in the upcoming presidential elections in Russia and parliamentary election in India.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, India has maintained good ties with its old ally Russia amid the Ukraine war, while continuing strong relations with the US and other Western countries. Earlier, both the leaders held a phonetic conversation in August 2023.
