He addressed the media in a press conference during Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra and said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party have made the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> January function a completely political function dominated by the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gandhi said he thought that this is the reason the Congress President said that he would not go to the function. He said the members of Congress are open to all religions, all practices. He said he did not try to take advantage of his religion and had no interest in it. He said he tried to apply the principles of religion in his personal life. Gandhi said he behaves nicely with people and respects them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added when people say something to him, he does not respond with arrogance instead listens to them. Gandhi said he did not spread hatred. He said for him this is the Hindu religion and he followed it in his life. He said he did not wear his religion over his shirt.
