Sharmila the sister of Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, had joined the Congress on January 4 in Delhi in the presence of Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congress President has also appointed Shri Gidugu Rudra Raju, the outgoing PCC president as special invitee to the Congress Working Committee. Sharmila said it gives her immense joy that the YSR telangana party is going to be part of the Indian National Congress from today onwards. She said YSR Telangana party is not going to be separate any more from the Congress party and this gave her immense delight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also said it was her father\u2019s dream to see Rahul Gandhi become the Prime Minister. Sharmila\u2019s new party will bank on her leadership to defeat her brother, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and the ruling YSRCP in the state poll. It also underlines the party\u2019s focus on the southern states, where it has seen more success than anywhere else in the country. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Early last year the Congress scored a thumping win over the BJP in Karnataka and, in November, ousted the Bharat Rashtra Samithi of ex-Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
