NCP Chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said that the foundation stone for a Ram temple in Ayodhya was laid when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of the country. He said BJP and RSS are only doing politics on this issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharad Pawar had reached Nipani, Karnataka for a public meeting on Tuesday. During his address Sharad Pawar said, the foundation stone was laid during the tenure of Rajiv Gandhi but BJP and RSS are doing politics in the name of Lord Ram. Sharad Pawar said, he respected his faith in Ram ji, but if PM Modi had decided to observe a fast to eradicate poverty, people would have appreciated it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, many constituent parties of the India Alliance formed for the Lok Sabha elections have rejected the invitation, while Sharad Pawar has not received the invitation yet. However, Sharad Pawar says that he will go to Ayodhya after January 22 to visit Ramlala. Till now Congress, Samajwadi Party, TMC and Left Party have rejected the invitation. Congress has called it a private event of BJP and RSS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
