In actor Rashmika Mandanna\u2019s deepfake video case, Delhi Police on Saturday arrested the main accused from Andhra Pradesh, who was involved in creating a fake, Artificial intelligence (AI) powered video, that went viral on social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the video, the face of actor Rashmika was superimposed on the face of British influencer Zara Patel. After spotting the video on X, Rashmika expressed her concern over the AI-powered fake video. She said I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused, the Animal actor added.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further said that as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well-wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can\u2019t imagine how could I ever tackle this. We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft, the Mission Majnu actor said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Rashmika\u2019s fake video, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan shared his concern and said this is a strong case for legal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
