Many Congress leaders including KC Venugopal and Rahul Gandhi were booked by Assam police under charges of assault on police personnel, damage to public property, provocation and violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rahul Gandhi slammed Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as the most corrupt CM. He said the chief minister of Assam spreads hate all the time and takes away the lands of the people. Gandhi hit back the Assam chief minister and wrote the chief minister of Assam is one of the most corrupt CMs in the country. He added what the Assam chief minister is doing against the Yatra is actually helping the yatra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the yatra is getting a lot of publicity that they would not have got otherwise. He said the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra has become the main issue in Assam. He said preventing from visiting the temple and college , is the style of the Assam government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gandhi said these are all intimidation tactics, and the Congress is not intimidated by them and is not afraid of them. The Congress leader said he did not know how Himanta Biswa Sarma got the idea that he can intimidate him by filling cases.
