West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee met with an accident today while on the way to Kolkata from Bardhaman. She suffered a minor head injury in the car accident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports, she got an injury on her forehead while returning from Burdwan to Kolkata by road after her car immediately applied brakes as another car suddenly came in front of the TMC supremo convoy. Due to bad weather, she didn’t return by helicopter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier today, TMC Supremo announced that its party will contest the Lok Sabha election alone after a failed seat-sharing meeting with INDIA bloc ally Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After she announced to fight alone in Bengal in all constituencies, NCP working president Supriya Sule said that Mamata Banerjee is our didi and we love and respect her. The opposition alliance INDIA is united and we will all fight together, she added. There will be no loss to the alliance. The model in every state will be different. There is no in-fight in the alliance. We are in frequent conversation, the NCP working president further added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, the war of words broke out between the West Bengal Congress president and MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and TMC supremo Mamta Banerjee, who called Benerjee an opportunist. Congress MP Chowdhury criticised the CM and said this time the elections will not be fought at the mercy of Mamata Banerjee. He further said that the Congress defeated the BJP and TMC in the two seats that Mamata Banerjee is leaving. Congress party knows how to contest in the elections, the West Bengal Congress president said while speaking on the Lok Sabha elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While speaking to the media, Congress Chowdhury also spoke about the contesting elections on all 42 seats. He said ready to contest all 42 seats stand of TMC, adding to that, I don\u2019t care about anyone. Our leaders have already spoken. I have reached here only by contesting and winning. We know to contest and win, the Congres MP said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
