Yadav showed top notch performance with a batting average that closed in on 50 and a strike rate which exceeded 150.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yadav is currently recovering from a groin surgery that he underwent in Germany earlier this month. He is expected to return to the field for the IPL for the Mumbai Indians in March. The ICC said the Indian star batsman got starts throughout the year and delivered match winning performances. He has been consistently scoring between 20s and 40s, before an innings of 83(44) against the West Indies in Providence proved his class. He ended the series against the West Indies and scored a knock of 61(45) in Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ICC stated Yadav has performed well despite having the burden of captaincy and took command of a young side towards the end of the year. Yadav scored half centuries against Australia (80 off 42 balls) and South Africa (56 from 36 balls), before scoring a century off 56 balls against South African team in their final T20I of the year in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His innings of 112 of 51 balls against Sri Lanka in January included nine sixes and 7 fours, scoring a boundary every three balls.
