In connection with a money laundering case investigation related to an alleged land fraud, a team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) visited at Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s official residence on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, according to ED sources, Soren wasn’t in his house and departed around midnight for an unidentified place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to ED sources, the ED team arrived at Soren’s house at 7 am and began attempting to locate him. According to the ED, new information on the land scam was the basis for the searches conducted at his Delhi residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 27, the ED sent Soren a new communication, the 10th summons, requesting that he return to the money laundering case probe the following week, according to official sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has been requested that Soren, who has ignored the ED summons nine times, confirm his availability for questioning on January 29 or 31, according to the statement. If Soren failed to show up for interrogation on January 29 or January 31, the ED threatened to contact him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 31, Soren had granted permission for the ED to question him. According to people close to the Chief Minister’s office in Jharkhand (CMO), Soren would be accessible for the investigation team’s interrogation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ED has new information on the land scam was the basis for the searches conducted at his Delhi residence. In accordance with protocol, a statement is taken during the course of the searches. The ED was unable to record Soren’s statement since he was not present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afterwards, a group of seven ED officers went to Jharkhand Bhawan to find out where Soren was. When inquired about if the Chief Minister resided in Jharkhand Bhawan, the employees responded negatively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Soren reportedly left his house around 1 pm on Sunday and came back at 8:30 pm, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
