The opposition attacked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Interim Budget speech on Thursday. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor critised her speech and called it very disappointing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tharoor said Sitharaman used ambiguous language and that the budget speech was among the shortest on record. He claimed that the speech made relatively little use of figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Congress MP added, it was among the shortest speeches\u00a0in the Budget history. He also said that not much came out of it. As usual, a lot of rhetorical language\u00a0and little actual execution. She mentioned foreign investment, but she failed to mention that it has decreased significantly, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
