The Aam Aadmi party said the repeated summonses are attempts to arrest him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday issued a fresh and summons for the fifth time to the AAP Supremo after he skipped 4 earlier summonses issued by the agency over the last four months. AAP said they will never let this happen. Kejriwal has skipped ED summonses for November 2 and December 21 in 2023 and January 3 and January18 this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Enforcement Directorate, the Delhi government\u2019s excise policy for 2021-22 to grant licenses to liquor traders allowed cartelization and favored certain dealers who had allegedly paid bribes for it. These charges were refused by the Aam Aadmi Party. The policy was subsequently scrapped and Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena recommended a CBI investigation in the matter. Kejriwal\u2019s AAP colleagues, his former deputy Manish Sisodia and party MP Sanjay Singh were arrested last year in connection with the case<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both BJP and AAP have planned simultaneous protests in the national capital today. Security has been increased in Central Delhi with the deployment of additional personnel in view of the demonstrations. The AAP will carry out a protest outside the BJP headquarters over alleged cheating in the Chandigarh mayor elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is going to participate in a protest along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
