Several Opposition leaders have extended their congratulations to Lal Krishna Advani on being awarded the Bharat Ratna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the announcement of Bharat Ratna to Advani by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge welcomed the decision of the government to honour the BJP stalwart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nationalist Congress Party Chief Sharad Pawar also expressed his joy and called it a right decision. He also recalled the days when Advani and he had political differences but in his personal life, Advani practised very clean politics, Pawar added. Further, Pawar noted that he was awarded India\u2019s highest civilian honour late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also congratulated Advani on being awarded with Bharat Ratna and prayed for his long life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RJD leader Manoj Kumar Jha also expressed his joy over the announcement of the award. Taking to X, he said Advani is one of the most respected statesmen of the time, adding that, Advani\u2019s contribution to the development of India is monumental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh responding reporter on Advani being honoured with Bharat Ratna, said Advani saved Modi in 2002. Ramesh remembered the words said by Advani in 2014 that Modi was not his disciple but a brilliant event manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ramesh added whenever he looked at Advani and Modi, the only thing he recalls, is Advani putting the real character of Modi in front of the country in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
