With the aim of building relationships with minority voters in Lok Sabha seats mainly held by Muslims in western Uttar Pradesh, the BJP’s minority front is prepared to host ‘Quami Chaupal’ campaign in over 4,100 villages, where they would engage in discussion on matters that impact them.

Beginning on February 10, the campaign will begin in the Muzaffarnagar’s Kaserwa village.

The BJP Minority Morcha’s Uttar Pradesh unit president, Kunwar Basit Ali, said the Morcha has selected 23 Muslim-dominated Lok Sabha constituencies, including Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Kairana, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur, Bareilly, Agra, and Aligarh, for the programme.

The Morcha will select the Lok Sabha constituency-wise in-charge for the Qaumi Chaupal programme, which will be held in 23 Lok Sabha constituencies of Western Uttar Pradesh.

Morcha leaders are scheduled to visit the communities where Muslims majority and discuss the government’s numerous initiatives and efforts to promote the rights of minorities.

The Morcha will also make an effort to understand the different concerns and difficulties that the community faces.

The primary goal is to get more Muslims involved with the BJP. These chaupals will be held in madrassas or in the homes of notable villagers, a source said.

The Morcha is making an attempt to reach out to the segment of Muslims who are seeking a political party that will prioritise their well-being, the source added. This group of Muslims will support the BJP in elections in order to gain the party’s prestige and to continue being affiliated with it.

He continued, one in-charge of the Morcha will be nominated, who will stay in the region under his supervision for at least 10 days and communicate with the Muslim villages and try to know their concerns in order to organise Qaumi Chaupals in all 23 Lok Sabha constituencies.

Recently, the Morcha’s ‘Shukriya Modi Bhai Jaan‘ initiative is going on, with a particular emphasis on Muslim women.

The purpose of Qaumi Chaupal is to engage and establish a connection between the BJP and the voters, primarily men.

In Western Uttar Pradesh, the BJP secured 19 of the 26 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections, with the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party coalition securing 7 seats. This time, the BJP is formulating a plan to win each of Uttar Pradesh’s 80 Lok Sabha seats.
