He began his speech by invoking Sengol, which he said had added to the Parliament\u2019s pride. PM Modi recalled the time when the President came to the new Parliament building to address all of the members of the Parliament and the pride and honour with which Sengol led the entire procession and the members of the parliament were walking behind it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the members of the Parliament had been a witness to the reflection of that holy moment of India&#8217;s independence in this new tradition in the new Parliament building. PM Narendra Modi said, he noticed that many Opposition leaders had even lost the courage to contest elections. He said some seats were changed last time too and he heard that many people are looking to change their seats this time as well. PM Modi said he had also heard that many people now want to go to Rajya Sabha instead of Lok Sabha. He said they are looking for their paths by assessing the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PM Modi said the Opposition leaders had failed to fulfill their responsibility as opposition. He added that he always said that the country needs a good opposition. The Prime Minister during his address in the Lok Sabha said nearly more than 60 MPs have expressed their views on the Motion of Thanks on President&#8217;s address and thanked all of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He appreciated the resolve taken by the opposition. PM Modi added that from their speech, his confidence and that of the country has become firm that they have decided to be in the opposition benches for a long time.
