AAP minister Atishi on Tuesday alleged that investigation agency had removed statements of the accused and witnesses, which were the only basis of the case, and she labelled the ED investigation into the excise situation a scam as no recovery had been made so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After Delhi minister Atishi claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) erased audio clips while looking into money laundering, sources said the ED was thinking of taking legal action against AAP leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a media conference today, AAP Minister Atishi alleged that investigations had revealed a explosive expose in which the central agency had deleted audio recordings of witness statements in some cases, such as the excise policy probe that involves AAP officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister said, after two years of inquiry, not a single rupee has been found. Not a single substantial piece of evidence has been discovered by the ED. All of his evidence is based only on statements, and it has since been discovered that some of the testimony was faked. The minister claimed that the ED is currently erasing the CCTV footage’s audio recording in order to conceal this fraud, she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Atishi claimed that the agency had altered the evidence of an anonymous defendant in the excise case. A few days ago, an accused applied to the court to obtain CCTV footage of him making a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said, the accused filed an application because the ED had confronted him in person with a government witness in the case, during which the accused and the witness exchanged questions and comments. Everything was captured on camera. The accused saw that the conversations that took place in the room did not match the written statement that the ED had provided to the court,the minister continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, ED today conducted a fresh raid at the premises of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal\u2019s personal secretary and some people connected to the AAP. The raids included up to 12 locations in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
