Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will participate in Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Amethi or Raebareli. The Rahul Gandhi-led Yatra is expected to enter UP on February 16. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday, Yadav said that he would participate in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Raebareli or Amethi after accepting an invitation extended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a letter addressed to Kharge, the SP chief expressed his hope and said that the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra will be successful after entering Uttar Pradesh. Further, accepting an invitation, he agreed to participate in the march either in Raebareli or Amethi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also hopes that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will join the strategy of backward classes, Dalits and minorities and will take the movement of SP and Congress social justice and mutual harmony forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, responding to the reporter, Yadav said he had not been invited to the Yatra to which Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh had said on Sunday the detailed route and programme of the Nyay Yatra in UP was being prepared and would be finalised in a day or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports, SP recently offered 11 seats to the Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in UP, which have 80 seats of Lok Sabha. Congress and SP are part of the Opposition bloc INDIA alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recently, the Congress party has faced criticism from its members of INDIA, such as the TMC, for issues related to seat sharing and carrying out the yatra. The TMC supremo and Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, decided to stay away from the yatra while it was in her state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Congress general secretary and UP in-charge Avinash Pande on Tuesday participated in a cultural programme ‘Jyot se Jyot Jagate Chalo’ organised here by the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee on the birth anniversary of poet Pradeep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
