Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took a swipe at Mallikarjun Kharge for his 400 paar statement saying Congress won\u2019t even cross 40 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to the Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee\u2019s recent statement that the Congress may not cross 40 seats in the Lok Sabha election, PM Modi while addressing the Rajya Sabha said, he prays that the Congress keep 40 seats in the election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PM Modi further, taking a jibe at Kharge, said he wondered when he listened to his speech how Kharge got the freedom that he spoke so much. PM Modi said that he also noticed that those two commanders were not there. Kharge ji thought \u2018aisa mauka phir kahan milega’ (when will such an opportunity come) and scored fours and sixes, said PM Modi in a motion of thanks in Rajya Sabha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further attacked Congress saying the party which has no guarantee on its leaders, on its principles raises questions about the Modi government. The party during its rule did not decide between nationalisation and privatisation, it went on giving the Bharat Ratna to the family members and naming roads after family members, which pained PM Modi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coming down heavily on the Congress, PM Modi said Congress spread the narrative, as a result of which people who believed in Indian culture and values \u200b\u200bstarted being viewed with an inferiority complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said that Congress never believed in Vocal for Local and Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said Made in Foreign was made a status symbol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PM Modi also brought up the caste reservation in his speech and said if Baba Saheb had not been there, they would have not got a reservation. He went on to say that Congress has been their biggest opponent of Dalits, Backwards and Tribal people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Karnataka Congress leader Priyank Kharge while responding to a reporter on Modi\u2019s speech, said that Modi is purely doing political \u2018bhashan\u2019 (speech) during the Budget session. They have been in power for the last ten years, don’t they have data on what they have done, Kharge asked.
