Voting in Pakistan\u2019s General Elections 2024 concluded on Thursday amid violence and mobile internet ban. The polling started at 8:00am and continued till 5:00pm without any interruption. A total number of 128,585,760 registered voters took part in the general elections. A holiday was declared all over Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although the voting time had ended but individuals inside the polling station were allowed to cast their votes. Many polling stations across the country experienced delays in the voting process. There had been a terror attack on security personel performing election duties. This also resulted in the loss of lives of four policemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ballot boxes are going to be unsealed in the presence of candidates agents within the polling stations. The counting of the votes is going to take place under the supervision of the presiding officer of each polling station. The results are going to be sent to the returning officer through the election management system. The returning officer will then table the results and announce the final outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports the results will begin to be announced before midnight. The first result is anticipated to be declared after 6:30pm. The government has banned the mobile and internet services all over Pakistan so that elections can take place in a peaceful manner. This has also cast doubts on the transparency of the election process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total number 650,000 security personel have been deployed all over Pakistan to ensure the election can take place in a safe and secure manner. According to reports since former Prime Minister Imran Khan is serving a jail sentence, it is expected Nawaz Sharif\u2019s Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz is going to emerge victorious in the country\u2019s general elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
