The Indian Air Force struck alleged terrorist bases in&nbsp;Pakistan&#8217;s Balakot, as a form of retaliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A large number&nbsp;of terrorists were killed and also destroyed&nbsp;their infrastructure&nbsp;on February 26, 2019, when the Indian Air Force (IAF)&nbsp;carried several aerial attacks targeting the JeM terror facilities in Balakot, Pakistan, just days after the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An airstrike was launched early on February 26, and the Indian Air Force foiled Pakistan&#8217;s effort the next day to start an offensive against Indian military locations in Jammu and Kashmir, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar also honored the brave soldiers. Taking to X, he also tweeted, pay homage to our brave jawans who laid down their lives this day in Pulwama in 2019. Rijiju said, pay tribute to the courageous troops who gave their lives in Pulwama, Afghanistan, for our nation today. He said, we honor their families for their steadfast fortitude and resiliency.
