The death of the young protesting farmer has made the situation tense.Shubhakaran Singh is the first farmer to die in the clashes during on-going farmer agitation. He died of injuries from what officials described as a bullet, without clarifying if it was a rubber bullet or a normal bullet. Punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann said strict action will be taken against those found responsible for the death of Shubhakaran Singh. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked whether it was for this day that India fought for its independence? The Samyukt Kisan Morcha gave their condolences on the death of Shubhakaran Singh and said the government is solely responsible for the present crisis and casuality. The Farmers body has called a meeting of its National Coordination Committee and the General Body on Thursday to discuss the situation and take decisive action to advance the struggle.
