Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi on Friday. At the gathering PM Modi took a veiled attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his nasheri yuva in Varanasi remark, and said those who are not in their senses are seeing junkies everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had said in Varanasi he had observed some youth in an intoxicated state were lying on the street and dancing at night. He had commented that the future of Uttar Pradesh is intoxicated. The Prime Minister in response reiterated his parivaarvaad dig at the Congress and accused the grand old party of corruption and appeasement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister threw light on his government\u2019s contribution for farmers and the poor. He said animal husbandry is a medium to make women self reliant and a support for small and landless farmers. He remained vocal for local to advertise small artisans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his visit the Prime Minister also paid tribute to saint and social reformer Gadge Maharaj on his birth anniversary. The Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister has won the Lok Sabha seat from this constituency in the last two general elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister added in the last elections the people of Varanasi have made him Banarasi. He hailed Sant Gadge Maharaj and credited him for freeing the society from stereotypes and working for the welfare of the Dalits and deprived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister said Babasaheb BR Ambedkar was a great admirer of Gadge Baba. He added That Gadge Baba was also greatly influenced by Baba Ambedkar as well. Gadge Maharaj was a social reformer from Maharashtra. His real name was Debuji Zhingraji Janorkar.
