At least nine people were injured in a blast at Bengaluru’s Rameshwaram Cafe on Friday that was started by an explosion. The explosion happened at the cafe’s Whitefield branch in Rajajinagar at around 1 p.m.

The precise number of injuries was not immediately known, but according to authorities, at least nine people have been taken to the hospital. Three employees and one customer were reportedly among the injured.

There were no ambulances, and the injured were transported to hospital in autorickshaws, according to eyewitnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah \u00a0verified that a bomb blast went off at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. Sources said that the CM was informed by the police that an IED was the cause of the explosion. The police said an IED-containing bag was found inside the cafe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
