The Sara Ali Khan starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan trailer has been released today. The film, which documents a crucial phase in the quest for independence, is based on true events and is set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement of 1942.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the biopic, Sara Ali Khan will be seen playing the role of Usha Mehta. In addition to spreading the notion that India can govern itself and doesn’t need British help, she uses radio to promote the cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-minute trailer takes viewers back to the time before independence by introducing them to 22-year-old Bombay college student Usha. In her quest to aid India in gaining its independence, Usha establishes an underground radio station, which serves as the catalyst for the Quit India Movement.
