Sunil Tatkare, NCP state unit chief, Sunil Tatkare said the NCP workers believe that the party should compete in constituencies where it has a solid foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nationalist Congress Party is committed to contesting in Baramati from within the ruling coalition. On finalization of seat sharing deal, Sunetra Pawar will be designated as NCP\u2019s candidate from Baramati. This will be the first instance when 2 members of Pawar family will indulge in an electoral battle against each other. Sunetra Pawar is the founder of the Enviornmental Forum of India, established in 2010. She also holds the position of a trustee for the well regarded indigenous educational institution, Vidya Prathishthan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2011, she has served as Think Tank member for the World Entrepreneurship Forum in France. Her brother Padamsinh Patil is a senior politician and former minister. In contrast Supriya Sule has consecutively represented the constituency since 2009. She also served as a Rajya Sabha member from 2006-2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supriya Sule, a 3 time representative since 2009 responded to rumours of Sunetra contesting the Baramati seat and said she has the democratic right to contest. Sharad Pawar also shared similar views on being asked about his point of view. Ajit Pawar made an emotional appeal to constituents and expressed the intention to field a candidate in Baramati for better development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized the need for proactive constituency work and compared it to the accomplishments of the current MP, Supriya Sule.
