The 8-lane high speed expressway is also India\u2019s first elevated highway which will improve the flow of traffic and ease congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on the National Highway \u2013 48.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the launch Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inspected the model of the Dwarka Expressway. He said he was happy to dedicate the Dwarka Expressway to the country. More than Rs 9000 crore have been spent on this exprerssway. He said he gave the people many good wishes. The 19 km long Haryana section of the 8-lane Dwarka Expressway has been built at a cost of around Rs 4,100 crore and includes 2 packages of 10.2-km-long Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and 8.7 km-long Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. The entire stretch is being being built at a cost of about Rs 9000 crore.
