The Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the Citizenship Amendment Act will never be taken back and the central government will never compromise with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shah said it is their sovereign right to ensure Indian citizenship in India and they will never compromise on it. He added the CAA will never be taken back. The notification of the rules of the Citizenship Amendment Act or CAA came earlier this week which has sparked criticism from the opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&quot;CAA law will never be taken back. He said CAA has been brought by the Narendra Modi-led government and it is impossible to repeal it. He said they have a history of saying one thing and doing another. He added the history of Narendra Modi and the BJP is different. He said what BJP and Modi say is carved in stone. He said every guarantee made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He refused to accept that the BJP is using CAA for political gains. Shah talked about similar objections made by the opposition on crucial national security decisions. He pointed out that the opposition even claimed that there was a political benefit in surgical strikes and air strikes. He asked should the government not take action against terrorism?
